The shark is really bad. I think he killed a lot of people.
I didn't do a very good job establishing the shark as a villain. If you prefer, the movie can be a metaphor for the destruction of the seas.
Also, I don't think he died; he just received his comeuppance.

Carl's sad and Nico is aroused? This movie is not having the intended effect!
It's supposed to be motivational, like when Daniel Larusso delivers the Crane Kick at the end of the Karate Kid or when Rocky beats the Russian.
